What Every Christian Should Know about the Jewish People — And What Every Jew Should Know About Christ. Christianity did not begin in a vacuum. It began in a garden planted long before Jesus walked the earth — a garden tended by Abraham, watered by Moses, pruned by the prophets, and sustained through centuries of exile, return, struggle, and hope. The Apostle Paul called this ancient story “the olive tree”, and he reminded Gentile believers that they were not the tree itself, but branches grafted into it. The roots are Israel.
